WizKid nominated for 2017 Billboard Awards


Nigerian singer, Wizkid has been nominated for the 2017 Billboard Music Awards.
He is nominated in six categories as a featured artist on Drake’s chart topping single, One Dance.


The categories are Top Hot 100 Song, Top Selling Song, Top Radio Song, Top Streaming Song (Audio), Top Collaboration, Top R&B Song and Top R&B Collaboration.
Twenty One Pilots top the billboard awards list with 17 nominations, followed by Rihanna with 14.

Beyonce also scored 8 nominations and her album Lemonade is nominated in the best R&B album category as well as the Top Billboard 200 album.

Gospel singer Kirk Franklin scored two nominations in Top Gospel Artist and Top Gospel Album for Losing My Religion.
The Billboard Music Awards celebrates the best chart toppers in the music industry.

The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has described the striking out of some charges against its leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu as an act of God. In a statement issued yesterday by its spokesperson, Emma Powerful, the group explained that the struggle for the restoration of Biafra was ordained by God. The pro-Biafra group described the outcome Kanu’s trial which saw an Abuja Federal High Court striking out six of the 11 charges levelled against him as the handwork of God.
