I sing reggae music because of girls – Patoranking reveals

Nigerian reggae singer, Patoranking says he was pushed by girls to do the kind of music he does.

From Nigeria to South Africa and , the alubarika crooner is very much in demand for his infectious reggae tunes.


In a chat with Punch, he said, “One of the reasons I chose reggae even though it might sound funny is because of the girls.

“I remember back then in secondary school, if you did not know how to mime songs, you could not get the girls and I like standing out.
“I thought it would be wise for me to mime the songs that my colleagues won’t know. I listened to more reggae songs.

“Whenever I did that, the girls were always impressed. I listened to a lot of Bob Marley and Lucky Dube’s songs.”

  12-year-old homeless Nigerian child has given birth to a baby at a refuse site and was picked up by the Child’s Right And Rehabilitation Network. The Child’s Right and Rehabilitation Network (CRARN) shared a photo of the child mother and her newborn baby who she named Miracle on Facebook and wrote: “A 12-Year-Old #StreetChild, Gives Birth to Another Street Child in a Refuse Site in Nigeria. Yesterday we had a naming ceremony and the child was named MIRACLE. His mother is a 12-year-old girl and a homeless child whose only shelter is a dumpster at a dump site meant for collecting recycles, such as cans, aluminum, coppers and used plastic bottles. Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State says the Chocolate City boss, Audu Maikori , and others will be prosecuted for their roles in the Southern Kaduna crisis, while fielding questions at the “Technology as a Policy Imperative” session at the Social Media Week, Lagos 2017, on Friday. Gov El-Rufai The panel session discussed the importance of an uncensored country, reports Premium Time. Maikori was arrested and detained for 24hours for posting a false story on social media about the killing of five College of Education students in Southern Kaduna. 2 kidnappers escape death in Abia state(see photos)

It was a bad day in the office for two suspected kidnappers in Umuahia, the Abia State capital after they were caught trying to abduct a child. According to a Facebook user wreported the incident, the suspects, a man, and a woman, were caught while trying to steal the child from her mother's shop along the Umuahia/Owerri road and an alarm was raised. In a jiffy, an angry mob had gathered and gave them a chase before they could escape. They were stripped naked and given the beating of their lives. The mob was said to be bent of setting the suspects on fire before a police team was called in and they were rescued and whisked away to a station.
