WizKid nominated for 2017 Billboard Awards


Nigerian singer, Wizkid has been nominated for the 2017 Billboard Music Awards.
He is nominated in six categories as a featured artist on Drake’s chart topping single, One Dance.


The categories are Top Hot 100 Song, Top Selling Song, Top Radio Song, Top Streaming Song (Audio), Top Collaboration, Top R&B Song and Top R&B Collaboration.
Twenty One Pilots top the billboard awards list with 17 nominations, followed by Rihanna with 14.

Beyonce also scored 8 nominations and her album Lemonade is nominated in the best R&B album category as well as the Top Billboard 200 album.

Gospel singer Kirk Franklin scored two nominations in Top Gospel Artist and Top Gospel Album for Losing My Religion.
The Billboard Music Awards celebrates the best chart toppers in the music industry.

An Iranian student almost landed himself in a jail cell this weekend – for looking like global football icon Lionel Messi. Reza Parastesh bears an uncanny resemblance to the Barcelona and Argentina forward and decided that it would be a fun idea to dress up as the player and wander around the Iranian city of Hamedan. So far, so good. But Parastesh had absolutely no idea how popular he would prove with the citizens of the city. So many people began coming up to the student and pleading with him for photographs and selfies that the police had to rush him to the local station to preserve public order and clear traffic. 97yrs old twins die on the same day

Twin sisters aged 97 have died on the same day after falling on a driveway in Rhode Island and catching hypothermia. Jean Young Haley and Martha Young Williams were found dead on Saturday morning after going out to dinner with their 89-year-old sister on Friday evening. Police believe Martha slipped on the driveway of Jean’s house in the town of Barrington as they returned home. It’s thought Jean then tripped on a rug in the garage while going inside the property to call for help. The 97-year-old twins who died together in Rhode Island lived with charm, grace, kindness, and style. Temperatures dropped to a low of 11F (-11C) overnight while the siblings were stranded outside. A neighbour found the sisters the following morning and called an ambulance, but they were pronounced dead on arrival at the local hospital. Their families have paid tribute to the “inspirational” pair in a statement. They said the sisters lived with charm, grace, kindness and style.
