i.Con smart condom like the name applies is the world's first smart sex condom. British Condoms revealed the smart condom last year.
The smart condom is able to track your performance in bed and now it has been further revealed it can detect STIs.
This sounds like something straight out of a sci-fi movie. The smart condom has sensors and nano-chips that track sexual performance. These include speed of thrusts, frequency, the different positions during sex. This wonder condom doesn't stop there. It also tracks average velocity of thrusts, girth measurements and skin temperature.
"Not only have we innovated the world's first Smart Condom Ring that’ll measure pretty much every aspect of performance in the bedroom," says Lead Engineer on the i.Con project, Adam Leverson.
The demand has been impressive. There are 96,000 pre-orders for the wonder condom that will out very soon this year.
The  i.Con smart condom might be cool and all that but it is more than likely Naija boys will not buy them.
First of all, they are expensive. The smart condom goes for £59.99 (N23,000). There is no average Naija guy that will bring out that kind of cash for condoms. Gold Circle and
Durex condoms are way cheaper than this smart condom.
Aggro is a bastard but it shouldn't be expensive. In this recession, dropping 20k for
James Bond condom is suicide.
Another reason why this condom would not be a hit is because it will expose a lot of guys. Tracking a guy's sexual performance down to numbers would reveal that many guys huff and puff in bed.
Guys protect their egos when having sex. They think they are great because they can't handle the truth. With this condom, some guys will not be able to accept the truth when laid bare.
Last but not the least, this smart condom sounds too techie. Sex should be sex and spontaneous. It shouldn't be academic. Sex should be magic and not an app review.
